That feeling when Andrew Medeiros takes the Star Wars medal and pins it on your chest ....
Because I know a carrack class light cruiser has 20 quad turbolasers and a crew of about a thousand, while a strike class medium cruiser has a modular design allowing it to serve a variety of roles, and an ISD has 60 heavy turbo lasers (and ion cannons!), a crew of 37,085, and 72 TIE fighters.
What?
Isn't this common knowledge?
Like how the quad laser cannons on the Falcon were in use during the attack on the Death Star, but the scenes were cut because we never connected with those characters?
Didn't everyone nearly memorize the 90s era Star Wars Encyclopedia?

On an ISD: If memory serves, that 36 TIE fighters, 24 TIE Interceptors, and 12 TIE bombers. And, of course, a "division" of stormtroopers -- I think 5,000. And all ISDs can do "command base delta zero", to turn the surface of a planet into molten slag.
ReplyDeleteOh, William, you delightful nerd.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Medeiros right?
ReplyDeleteAnd yet Chewie still doesn't have one!
ReplyDeleteAdam D That's OK,. Chewie is hundreds of years old, being born ~200 BBY.
ReplyDeleteHe also got a whole moon. An entire one! Granted it fell on him and killed him, but it was kinda his.
