I'm listening to a playtest I GMd of a game Andrew Medeiros wrote called The Watch. I've hacked this game.
And now I'm listening to myself ask my players to explain the moves and be like "I guess this means I do this thing ... ", and hear myself get things wrong.
I say "So" a lot. I should watch that. That's my tick.
This is one of the weirdest things I've done today.

Hehe awesome observation.
ReplyDeleteAnd I say "Cool" a lot, and should give slightly more time between when someone else stops talking and when I talk. I don't overtalk, but I don't give as much time as would be ideal.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could be objective.
Player: I spent a very long time as a woman who could change into a lion ...
ReplyDeleteMe: In a game or ... ?
I knew I was a good natured jerk.
And I use "all right" as a attention getter to start talking. Huh. Not sure how I feel about that.
ReplyDeleteAm I in love with my own voice? I might be.
ReplyDeleteI also say a lot of superlatives. "Fantastic", "Great!", "Perfect", "Cool"
