Unexpected. There was an ice cream social at work. Of course, i also ran. But those two can't cancel out.

  1. Running is good though regardless of immediate impact.

A buddy of mine likes to tell people that in order to build an exercise habit, they should start going to the gym after work or early morning to read a book or check Facebook for like 45 minutes. Just carve out the block of time, and don't worry about working out. Eventually you figure "well, I'm here...."

  2. Aaron Griffin Absolutely.

For me, running is all tied up with my banged up knee. Its complicated; at once, it is ridiculously rewarding and (with the right sound track) satisfying.

It is also dangerous and scary. I worry I'll take a bad step and fuck up my knee and not be able to walk for 3 months and it'll be all my fault and oh god oh god.

That that hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't happen. I worry.

And so, to the pool with a book for me. While the water is still cold.
