Conversations that happen in my head:

Conversations that happen in my head:

Coworker: Hey William, how's the D&D!?
Me, after an inward sigh: I haven't played D&D in years man, I don't really know. I could tell you about Dungeon World, though?
Coworker: But, you play RPGs. That means D&D, right?
Me: You watch TV, right?
Coworker: Sure!
Me: Great. So, howse that Seinfield?
Coworker: I don't know, I haven't watched Seinfield in a decade. But, I could tell you all about Making a Murderer.
Me: But you watch TV. That means Seinfield, right?
Coworker: Man, the D&D has really gotten to your head!

  1. Speaking of experience I just added the phrase, "Dungeon and Dragons is a really popular introductory game, but there are a lot more games out there now that take the frame work and explore other elements."  I learned most people didn't know that RPGs could be something different.

Phil uses the comparison between the control system in Halo being in most fps video games, but not all fps video games are halo.

Also Making a Murder isn't TV it's Netflix. That's the tag line right ;)

  2. Samantha Anne Yeah, sure could. I'm intentionally trying to avoid using D&D as the example base case in conversation. Either Tim Franzke or Epi or someone smart suggested that for the year.

  3. William Nichols That was Epi. Not me. I am not as smart as that man. But thanks for the compliment :).

  4. Tim Franzke Jeopardy. In my household, we have an antenna so we can watch Jeopardy.

Recently, it wasn't on. Apparently the tournament of champions is less important than pole vaulters. Or something. I was confused.
