Today's measurement was over the target line, and I didn't have the gumption to go run to fix it. The forces of destruction that will eventually consume us all took a small victory.
This is in line with expectations. In the end, entropy always wins.
That being said, I won a victory this week. I ran a 5k faster than I ever had before.
This is outside my expectation, and pretty awesome!
The stats so far:
Successes: 1
Tentative Successes: 1
Failures: 1
What'll be interesting to see is if this failure is the new normal, or a blip. We'll see.

Well ultimately universal entropy will reach a state of equilibrium preventing any expenditure of of energy so everything will come to an end eventually. The lesson is to eat cake while there is still energy to make it.
ReplyDeleteYou're shooting par, and you're entropy's bitch. All in all, that's a positive.
ReplyDeleteIn my experience, as long as you keep measuring and keep learning, it will work itself out.
ReplyDeleteMost training goes through waves, and weight loss is no exception in my experience. 3 months on, 3 months relaxed effort, repeat.
Yeah, I'm not super worried about it. This is the less intense time, when I hibernate and try not to lose the gains from the summer. Some fluctuation is completely expected.
ReplyDeleteToday's measurement is bag in the acceptable. This is still a hard fail, as it is Sunday that counts.
