well this is a fun wrinkle.
Them: Here, take this basic sql test. It's multiple choice, should take under 90 minutes.
Me: Sure. I'll do it from home.
::loads up a chromebook, goes to the webpage::
Webpage: You must be in Windows.
Me: .... But I don't have a windows computer.
I'll figure it out. No worries. Just imagine how hard this'd be if there wasn't a kinkos across the street.

Assume they mean Windows with privileges so they can install some spyware on the machine to ensure that you're not on the network looking up answers.

ReplyDeletePatty Kirsch Unfortunately these sorts of "tests" cn get really cranky if they're not running native. And if it's timed then any time futzing with getting things to work is less time taking the exam.
