I'm trying to give myself a birthday present this year: begin writing a serious novel that I might actually publish. My birthday is the 4th, so I'm trying to hammer out some sub-plots that relate to the theme of the book (which is that xenophobia is bad and motivates people to do bad things) before then. I'm kind of excited about the possibility.
I found out last night that New York has owl sculptures in multiple locations, and a connection between the owls and two of the more scandalous and weird figures of the 19th century. I'm going to have way too much fun without this into my role-playing product line.
Yesterday I got to have a lovely brunch with my wife, a friend of ours who moved away, and her wonderful wife (whom we hadn't met yet - she's awesome).
I got a picture of a rabbit in my neighborhood this morning.
ReplyDeleteNice! That's nifty.
ReplyDeleteI might be going to India this fall for business (fingers crossed)
ReplyDeleteLuke Cage season 2 is extraordinary. Season 1 I liked, but it was the Marvel-Netflix I liked the least. So far, season 2 has me giddy with joy.
ReplyDeleteWe have so many fireflies in our neighborhood this year. So. Many.
ReplyDeleteoooh, someone pointed out this ambient sound mixer website ambient-mixer.com - Listen and create ambient sounds easily you can edit it, too (is the fireplace louder than the conversation? How about cutlery noises?)
ReplyDeleteThis video about Mastodon that I did has 220 views on Peertube and that makes me unreasonably excited for the future of the federated web:

ReplyDeleteEven now, the stars still shine upon young lovers.
