There are 18 of us. We're not accepting more duplicants right now.
We're doing some major infrastructure changes: reworking power plants to use transformers. This'll mean each wire won't be under strain. It'll also mean we can consolidate to mostly coal power plants, locked in a vault with an airlock.
It's also pretty nifty to think about and do!
There's still a completely untapped water reserve. And there's a steam geyser just barely visible past the Ice.
Continuing to explore. There is slime everywhere. How do we get past it without getting slime lung?

Most relevant thought: decontamination area.
ReplyDeleteSomething like this: from the outside move into an airlocked room with a shower and sink. Shower up, then wash up.
As you move in, also a hand sanitizer.
That should get rid of most of it, until we have exo suits.
You think exo suits will solve the problem? Look at Suitport for a concept to try and mitigate the problem:

This tries to greatly reduce the amount of dust contamination (for use on the Moon or Mars), but the edge around the door/backpack is still an issue.
