Trying to get:
a) A Navy Captain, or b) A Merchants Captain. Maybe even with a Free Trader.
Can't get either. The code isn't a language I quite recognize.
Somebody wanna look at the code and figure out the likelihood of getting to Navy Captain, and/or Merchant Captain?

The captains are the 5th ranks in each table. So I believe, you'll need to survive 4 times (which is easy enough since it's only rolling a 5 or better with some Int bonus), but also being promoted which is an 8+ on 2d6 with only the possibility of a +1 bonus from education. Commission requires a Social at 10+ with a +1 for 9+ Social.

Commission has a 27% chance with high social, 16% without.
Then a 58% chance for promotion, 72% with a high education.
I leave it as an exercise to the reader to extrapolate the chances over all 4 terms and integrating the chances to get an 8+ Edu
Nah, the weird thing is I can get Generals pretty easily, but not navy/merchant Captains.
