Legacy: Life Among the Ruins 2nd Edition by James Iles

... is tremendously good.

I spent some time this morning reading through the playbooks. Can't claim to understand everything yet, but the scope of moves, the world-building inherent in playbook (and family) selection, and the naming harm boxes differently for each playbook all struck me as really top notch.

    I was particularly taken in by a Twitter thread by James Iles​ discussing how Legacy was an attempt to create a post apocalyptic game where violence wasn't the first option

    James Iles Do you think it is readily playable with just the materials released so far on the kickstarter?

    That is, the moves playbooks, and family books.

    I've run it with them, at least. Though I'd recommend also reading through the first chapter to have a look through the example of play and game setup procedure.

    When I've got feedback, I'll be sure to put positive stuff in public and be discrete with... any perceived opportunities for improvement.
