Dear friends

Dear friends,

It has been a while since I've asked.

How have you made the world safer for your neighbors?

I've continued to reach out to my elected representatives. I'm helping make our local gaming spaces safer, though I for sure don't have point on that.

I've become more involved in local politics, albeit in order to mitigate the catastrophic effects of this administration. We're right outside DC, so local politics are national politics.

There's a certain white supremacist who is slowly being kicked out of the area. There's a whole campaign ongoing regarding "All Are Welcome", by which business means everyone except that asshole.

Love to you and yours! He will not divide us.

  1. Little local things: Talking and organizing and letters to school board members.

I'm loving watching the slow-motion squeeze that Arlington and Alexandria are putting on certain despicable folks. Keep up the good work!

  2. Volunteering teaching an adult ESOL class once a week. Walking around the neighborhood and saying hi to anyone who makes eye contact, or doesn't appear to be talking on a cell phone (this maybe only makes people feel safer). Using exercise as an excuse to pick up trash (makes world safer for albatross neighbors).

  4. I use Resistbot every other day. I also call my Senators Klobuchar and Franken to thank them and to support their every effort. They are fantastic!
