Food is an issue for me, too, at least in my dabbling.
ReplyDeleteI might wait until it's more fully complete before I tackle it again, so it isn't a constant refactor after updates, but it's already really complex and interesting.
As long as you're learning something!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly believe that my most recent base collapsed ... but I know how it happened. Man, the asteroid environment is just unremittingly hostile.
I actually rather like how hostile it is, even though it makes me do this restart-restart-restart-augh thing..... It makes it more interesting.
ReplyDeleteI found it useful when I realised that there's a light that needs no power, right there that can be useful with food for small populations. Overlays FTW.
ReplyDeleteAlexander Newman Shine bugs? Yes, indeed.
ReplyDeleteOr even reasonably large populations. Current plan: ~40 bloom blossoms in a row, watered automatically with a farming station. Open door, then a grooming station. Put a feeding station at the other end.
Shine bugs also.
ReplyDeleteThat's not a lot of light. very small populations.
ReplyDeleteWilliam Nichols not the bugs! It's a relatively short-term food supply that meant my dupes never eat raw meal lice, they went straight too loaf.
