Robert Bohl Because its so good that it has forced me to reevaluate my view of the world. Because it is so complicated that I hardly know who the characters are. Because it is about such a strange world that I can barely keep its political factions separate. Because it has such delightfully horrible things to say about gender and politics and sex.

No, not yet. It's toward the top of my to-read list for novels (which, as you would expect, is a separate track from my to-read gaming books, and research for private projects) at the moment, but first I needed to finish The Obelisk Gate by NK Jemisin. I should mention, she is also an amazing author, and you should check out the first book of that trilogy, The Fifth Season, if you haven't had the chance yet.
I'd need to know more.

Love this book. It's fantastic. I'm also a fan of the author's non-fiction work about reading Lucretius in the Renaissance.
ReplyDeleteMiles Peiser Hooray! Have you checked out the sequel yet?
