Epiphany larp was amazing. Ask me anything.

  1. > What's your larp background?

This was my first multi-day larp. Previously, my longest larp was five hours -- Sing A Little Prayer, the short version of Jall. My first larp was The Tribunal, maybe five years ago at Camp Nerdly. I freaked out, which was both excellent and terrifying.

I've played a bunch since this -- everything from #feminism nanogmes to multiple sessions of the same Stranger Gravity game (this is Star Trek: The Larp). I've helped organize and facilitate, and generally had a blast.

What's the reason for the question?

[ Also, sorry. I got distracted for an hour and now I am going to go to bed. I should be back tomorrow. Feel free to ping anyone else in, most especially people who were there. This is first time ever that I wish I was on facebook. ]

  2. Just curious what sorts of prior experiences you had to draw upon and how much was novel. You seemed to be doing pretty well and I'm glad to hear it worked for you.

Tribunal was the game that turned me on to larp, too!

All the larpers seem to be on Facebook and I am sad about this but I don't know what can be done. Maybe make an account for Toby?

  4. Larry Lade Throwing myself in is less and less of a problem for me, that's for sure.

I'm also in a quarterly larp group, which has people from DC to Baltimore -- hell, we've got some Philly folks, but we meet between Northern Virginia and Baltimore.

An account for Toby is an interesting idea. There's a couple of people I want to hear from who I've yet heard. And I want to see what everyone else is doing over there. I want to see the stories that I did not participate in, the threads that happened around and without me.
