Yeah. That's really nice. The Tab Fit one looks about right for me: tablet, notebook, pens, wallet, and a few tools and first aid kinds of things. Ideally with no room for air.
I'm always a fan of bags that fit well inside other bags, but the specific idea of designing it for seatback organization is a very clever design idea - it gives it some clear direction for design while still allowing it to be a pretty flexible design. My own use case would be more bag-in-bag than seatback, but that makes it no less interesting and well thought out a design.
Rob Donoghue I've been thinking about designing a bag base that holds your everyday stuff, from a tablet down; then you Velcro on backpack straps for distance carrying, a larger pouch for clothing, water bottle holders, phone pouches, or whatever.
There are a couple of companies doing modular bags, which seems like great tech, I know some folks also use Go-Rucks and do really involved organization on the inside - definitely a fun (but expensive) space.
(Tellingly, I just checked Kickstarter for a particular modular bag that I saw a while back and there's a whole screen of modular bag projects!)
I wind up not using the inside compartment, as it doesn't readily store anything I really need. But, I do use this bag inside my laptop bag, so it becomes a bag in bag solution.
Oh, clever!

ReplyDeleteThat looks really nice.
ReplyDeleteAlso, room for dice!
ReplyDeleteTell me more, Rob Donoghue?
