I lost six pounds overnight.

Am I going to die?

  1. Ran a lot in the comfy temperatures, didn't you?

Be prepared to drink a gallon or so of water over the next twenty four hours.

  2. My last exercise was saturday morning. And it was a megaone, for sure. An hour on the exercise bike, 15 miles at a higher difficulty than normal. When I was done, I wasn't nearly so covered in sweat but I was tired.

Though, yeah, I spent the weekend running around larping and eating minimally. So, maybe that is exercise, too.

  3. I am profoundly sorry for the loss of your cat. May it rest in peace. :D

Oh, weight loss is only listed as a symptom for stage 1 and pretty advanced stage 2. That seems unlikely.

  5. I was going to hit the gym this morning, and then saw the scale. It was very surprising, and I felt like I shouldn't push myself!

  6. Listen to your body, not the scale, at least over the short-term. Scale numbers bounce around like whoa, as you know.

  7. Hydrate hydrate hydrate.

Chances are you're low on water.

If you did lose a potentially alarming amount of weight, you're going to need the detritus filtered, which means heavily working your kidneys, and staying well hydrated is the best way to protect them.

It's also plausible that being a little high on water and salt masked some weight loss (especially if you were aggressively caring for your electrolytes while larping) -- and so the "before" weight was inflated by water retention.
