Cycle 36.
There are eleven of us left.
We finally have enough food, and bathrooms that don't stink to high heaven. Those go into a drainage ditch, which we're about to build into a machine to produce fertilizer. That's next to our two coal power plants. The air near there is unbreathable.
Our plants are up high, producing never quite enough food.
We're running out of algae. All of the algae terraniums are out. The exhaust from the coal plants is spreading.
We're going to die. It's a question of will we run out of air, food, or die from sickness.
Bubbles is very stressed out, and there's never enough time on the arm chair. Our immune systems are fine, but many of us are sick.

Good times, good times.
ReplyDelete... I don't have enough water pressure!
ReplyDeleteWell done game, well done.
ok. How do rooms do?
ReplyDeleteThey are unable to get to the perfectly available bathrooms. WTF.
ReplyDeleteOkay ... rooms: A room is an enclosed space (doors count as "enclosure", even if left open ... like, your office is a room even if your door is always open).
ReplyDeleteAnything larger than (I think) 96 spaces is not a room. It is outside.
If you find the little "room" overlay, you can see each of your rooms as a different tinge than the default "outside" dark grey.
That overlay will also give you a legend for all of the room types, telling you what things it requires.
For instance, a bedroom/barracks is any space that (a) is at least 12 and no more than 64 tiles, (b) has a bed, and (c) doesn't have noisy industrial equipment. If the room you intend to be a barracks doesn't show up in the barracks tint in the room overlay, mouse over it and the game will give you a description of what the problem is.
Bathrooms: If the toilets are fully functional, I don't know what to tell you. Duplicants will look for any functional thing they can navigate to. You can select a duplicant and choose "move to" on their little menu, see if they can move to the space.
ReplyDeleteEDIT: Oh, and check the item menu of the toilet ... you may have somehow set it so that only one duplicant has access to it.
Re: Toilets, I think the problem is the shower and low amount of water they have access to. When someone is showeting, fewer of the toilets are accessible.
ReplyDeleteThis has been fun. Time for a pretty serious break, possibly for a few weeks.
I may start over, this being the first time I got the game to go and all.
ReplyDelete"Bubbles"? That's your problem. You shouldn't have hired Michael Jackson's chimpanzee as your chief sawbones.
