You and Dianne have both been doing such a great job of engaging in the world, and reaching out to do new, scary things. That's how a person grows and betters themselves, and anyone should be glad to have you in their life (and/or their workplace) because of it!
I enjoy the occasional banter about the technology and motivations of space pirates. It allows me to exercise the creative neurons that haven't gotten enough exercise lately.
It went fairly well. I did ask everybody if they had reservations. The chief answer to that is I may be overqualified. Apparently my ability to use analytic reasoning (ie, google) to solve tech problems is pretty good.
I've maybe fallen thru the cracks. Hard for me to move to a high tech position, and I'm over qualified for lower rung ones. That's a catch-22 that I don't know (yet) how to resolve.
