Apparently I am writing La Fin Du Misérable: an economic fan fic.

Short version: In a world where Myriel convinces Napoleon to end poverty ...
-- Fantine stays afloat after Felix leaves her. She has access to medicine and doctors while pregnant, and using the minimum basic income to stay afloat.
-- Jean valjean leaves prison with 10 years of income in an account, rather than being desperate and poor.
-- Thenardiers are still assholes.
-- Marius and his friends of the ABC live on the minimum basic income while teaching the poor to read.

I need a better way to work in the Thenardiers, still. But, as has been pointed out, any more than this is for fun rather than to make a point.

And, well, I've got a few paragraphs. Because it is super fun to write fan fic, apparently.
